An anonymous tipster seems to have made the rounds of the tech press this weekend with some "highly confidential" inside info on the final name for Longhorn. The same tip has been turning up all over. The nameless source claims that Microsoft will christen Longhorn "e-XPedition," combining the e-home, XP and Media Center Edition names all in one. We thought this sounded completely bogus. But we thought the same of the "Windows XP" and "Office XP" names when we first heard about them back in 2001.
