All components of AX for Retail 2012 now get installed via the unified AX installer.  One of the nice things about this installer is the built-in Prerequisites Validation checker that it has.

However, there is one missing prerequisite for the Store Connect installer;  you may get the following error when you launch the setup utility:

“The program can’t start because mfc100u.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”



The Retail Store Connect Settings utility requires the Visual Studio C++ runtime to be installed.  You can grab it here:

• Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (32-bit): http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...s.aspx?id=5555
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (64-bit): http://www.microsoft.com/download/en....aspx?id=14632

Once you have that installed you should be able to launch the utility and configure your Store Connect instance.
